Oops! You’ve Been Tricked
You clicked, but don’t worry – this time it’s a lesson, not a threat!
Curiosity got the better of you, didn’t it?
They say curiosity killed the cat… Don’t feel bad, we all fall for it sometimes. The good news is, this was just a test.
But in the real world, clicking on suspicious links can lead to some nasty surprises like viruses, stolen data, or worse
Hover before you click
Hovering over a link will show you where it’s really taking you. If it looks dodgy, don’t click!
Look out for spelling mistakes
Malicious websites often have slightly misspelled URLs. Pay attention to every character!
When in doubt, verify
If you receive a link from an unknown source, ask yourself: ‘Was I expecting this?’ Better yet, contact the sender to double-check.
Use secure websites
Always make sure you’re on a secure website (look for the padlock and ‘https’).
