Can I edit a transaction in Sage 200 once posted?

November 28, 2023

From the Summer 2017 release of Sage 200, users can more easily correct Customer and Supplier transactions, once posted.

Prior to the Summer 2017 release users would have to post reversing transactions to correct errors made when posting. If you are unsure what version of Sage 200 you have or whether you can upgrade, you should contact your Sage 200 Business Partner.

The routines to correct transactions can be found in Sage 200 here:

Sales Ledger > Adjust Transactions > Correct Transactions

Graphical user interface
Description automatically generated

Purchase Ledger > Adjust Transactions > Correct Transactions

Graphical user interface, text, application
Description automatically generated

These routines are user friendly and quick but Sage 200 makes a full and accurate record of the corrections so you can rest assured the corrections will hold up to the scrutiny of an audit.
