Cyber Essentials is a new scheme backed by the government to assist businesses in protecting themselves against cyber threats. The scheme has been devised for all businesses, not just those within the IT sector, as part of the UK’s National Cyber Security Programme.
The scheme provides a set of controls, which when implemented will provide all organisations with a basic level of protection from the most common cyber threats. Cyber Essentials is mandatory for central government contracts advertised after 1 October 2014, which involve handling personal information and providing certain products and services.
Eventura understand that cyber security is paramount and have begun the Cyber Essentials scheme, with all team members having undertaken a .GOV exam to prove that they have the knowledge to maintain information security.
We would like to congratulate all of the Eventura team members, each of which passed the exam with ease. This brings us one step closer to becoming Cyber Essentials accredited.
